As a Driving Instructor, you get asked many strange and peplexing questions as you are driving around with your pupils.
As we were sitting in the car one day a pupil called becky went to say something about what her aunt was doing, then stopped looked at me and went quiet. When i asked what was up she said “I can’t tell you, because you are a Driving Instructors and that means you’re like a policeman!” I never did find out what her aunt was up to!!
The biggest cause of questions as Driving Instructors is when you are on a driving lesson and the pupil is coming upto there test. We have been asked
Should I wear a miniskirt?
I told him NO…..Only joking I said to her, the Driving Examiner is more likely to want you back in the car again, so more likely to fail you, if you do that.
As a company we have Driving Instructors doing driving tests all over the uk, such as Shrewsbury, Hartlepool, Workington, Ilford and Birmingham, which is a lot of strange questions being asked. All met with the same bemused driving instructors smile!
The rules of the test are simple drive as you would with your driving instructor and make sure you check the mirrors and blindspots. Remember whether you take driving lessons in Aldridge, Cannock, Sutton Coldfield or Romford, nobody fails the driving test on there driving. Everybody fails it on there observations.

DVLA figures show that there was an 8% drop in applications for the provisional driving licenses that 52,000 less than the previous year. This widely been blamed on the credit crunch.
Driver Training on the other hand have found that bookings for driving lessons in the UK are in fact up on last year. This may be down to their fantastic offer of the first 4 lessons for £50 or it could just be because of their fantastic reputation.
Now with driving lessons in Cannock, Walsall, Brownhills, Willenhall, Wednesbury, Bloxwich and Bilston, Wolverhampton, Penkridge, Stafford and Norton Canes you can take advantage of Driver Trainings great prices.

Five tips for getting good rates on car insurance for young drivers
With the cost of cars, car insurance and petrol, driving has almost become a luxury for everyone. Whether you learn to drive in Walsall, Hartlepool, Workington or Shrewsbury it is a real problem for teens and young adults. Car insurance for young drivers is one of the most costly groups, with rates enough to make you faint. Besides comparison shopping for your insurance, what can you do to reduce those quotes?
There are several factors which contribute to the astronomical rates. First, young drivers don’t have much of a track record. Lack of experience plays heavily into the quote. There’s not much you can do about that, but you can be proactive in developing a good record. Do get as much instruction and practice in before you go for your license. When you take the test, go for a perfect score instead of just trying to pass. The better you know the rules of the road, the less likely you are to get a ticket.
This is where Pass Plus can help. Doing a Pass Plus course can reduce your insurance by upto 35%. At Driver Training we have courses in Shrewsbury, Cannock, Walsall, Aldridge and Telford
Look and see if there’s a Pass Plus driving course available in your area. These programs are gaining in popularity, because it’s been demonstrated that these in-depth driving courses work. You are given instruction on a private driving course which is set up to teach you how to drive defensively and safely maneuver out of dangerous situations, such as braking suddenly, hydroplaning and maintaining control of your vehicle on an icy road. You’ll be a better driver at the end.
You may be surprised to learn that the make and model, color and even body style affect your rates. For example, car insurance for young drivers with a red Corvette will be far greater than the same aged driver with a white four-door family car. Insurance company statistics show that young drivers in fast, red cars are involved in accidents at a much greater rate. Choose your vehicle accordingly.
You’ll also find that rates for car insurance for young drivers go down if you’ve got good grades. Insurance companies reason that if you have good grades, you’re likely more responsible behind the wheel too.
Once you have your license, keep it clean. Don’t make a practice of talking on your phone or performing other tasks while driving. Observe the speed limits, know the law and avoid being pulled over. You’ll eventually enjoy better rates when you have no tickets.
If you live at home, you can be written in on your parent’s policy and save a ton of money. Your parents must consent, so don’t let them find you driving irresponsibly, causing them to refuse, if only because they can’t afford the rate.
So whether you are in Romford, Dagenham, Northfield, Edgbaston or Shrewsbury Call us FREE today on 0800 1 777 149
Car insurance for young drivers is notoriously high. If you want to have the luxury of driving, do everything you can to earn the best rate. With a clean record and three years, your rates should decrease substantially.

Driving Instructors: Better Than An Empty Car Park
On any given Sunday morning, in the empty parking lot of a department store, you are sure to find an uncertain car with a teenager at the wheel and a very nervous parent as passenger. Learning to drive is a time-honoured tradition and represents a transition from child to young adult. Though many parents may dread the day that their child comes up to them dangling the keys and begging for lessons, they eventually give in and teach their child how to drive. However, this act may not be the smartest or even the safest.
Using a driving instructor is a helpful way to teach teenagers to drive in a structured and safe environment. And while parents mean well and truly want their children to learn properly, driving instructors will not pass on bad habits to the teenager that parents may do absent-mindedly. Driving instructors are highly trained and understand how to teach the skills needed to ensure that the teenager or any new driver can pass the driving test and maintain safe habits throughout their driving careers.
Driver Training understand this need and that’s why we have instructors in Aldridge, Cannock, Walsall, Wolverhampton and Birmingham.
Driving schools and instructors often have their own cars that will be used to teach the student. At the end of the course, the student will use this car on the driving test. The instructors car will be very well maintained and will pass the stringent requirements for the car in order to be used in the actual test. This will benefit the student since being at ease and comfortable with the vehicle will make it far easier to pass the test.
The instructors begin at the basics when teaching a new student. They start with the car, making sure the student is familiarized with basic driving features and engine components. Once this is done, such skills as braking smoothly, turning, parking and reversing are explored. The instructor will determine when the student is ready for more advanced skills and will work with the student at their own pace until all the skills are honed. Driving instructors understand all the nuances and laws of the road and can easily communicate them to the student in such a manner as to be easily understood.
Unlike parents or other would-be instructors, a trained and professional driving instructor has the ability to teach the skills that students will need not only to simply pass the test, but to maintain safe driving behaviour and habits once out on the road alone.

PETROLHEADS have more fun than other drivers because they love putting the hammer down and the sound of screaming rubber on the blacktop.
Their way of driving piles up the costs of motoring and causes accidents. And, the Avenger suspects, that a high proportion of them failed their driving test more than once.
Learning to drive is not a cheap business but for many people in Walsall it’s a must.
But before you cough up large wads of notes, consider carefully whether you do need to be able to drive.
The alternative options include bicycles, walking, skateboards and even roller-blading.
If you’re determined to learn, get some free lessons with someone you know you can trust. Choose a relative or friend who you believe drives well.
Before you take the test for real, you will need some instruction from a professional driving school. The more practice you get before you take that step, the fewer lessons you’re likely to have to take.
Talk to your mates who have recently passed their test. Quiz them about what the examiner asked and any mistakes they made.
And then get them to help you with the theory part of the test. It’s going to cost you £50 for a provisional licence, £30 for the theory test and £56.50 for the practical. Forget weekend and evening tests as they cost £67.
It all adds up to a load of dosh, so your aim is to pass first time.
When you’re ready, find an instructor with whom you feel comfortable who has a track record of good pass rates.
At Driver Training we offer Driving Lessons in Walsall from just £50 for the first 4 hours!!
Our student rate is £19 per hour or if you pre-pay 10 hours it becomes £18 per hour.
