The key to becoming a driving instructor, is to know what you are letting yourself in for. A lot of national colleges or schools of motoring rely on their reputation or brand image, rather than on there actual results or pass rates. Of course a lot depends on the individual and how much time and effort he is willing to put in, but by far the biggest reason for people not going through the test is the poor standard of Instructor training.

Let’s get some thing straight from the start shall we -

You should never use anyone who isn’t ORDIT registered. That’s the Official Register of Driving Instructor Trainers (even the DSA tell you that)

You should NEVER do training on a 2 - 1 or 3-1 basis!!! You have paid thousands to watch someone else become an instructor????

You should NEVER go for a part 2 test in an area you are not familiar with.

You should never go for a part 3 Instructor exam “to see what it’s like”!!!

You should NEVER go for a part 3 exam “hoping you do not get pst…..”

If you have or are doing any of these with your trainer….dump them now!! They are only doing it for the money.
