As one of the UK
How long has it been since you were last with a Driving School or Driving Instructor?
Did you ever do a Pass Plus Course?
With the introduction on Driving Tests of Eco Driving, if you are a fully qualified driver, you may want to consider taking some Refresher Driving Lessons. Why?
They estimate that 98% of Drivers if they took there Driving test again would fail. Do you feel that way? Think back to when you passed your test, did you have to change down through the gears when slowing down?
Did your Driving Instructor and then your Examiner ask you 2 or 3 questions from the Highway Code as you sat at the roadside when you finished your test?
Did you have to turn a handle at the front of the car to get the engine running?
If the answer to any of these is Yes, you would really benefit by taking refresher Driving Lessons. At Driver Training we are a Driving School that teaches people the latest training methods designed for modern driving.
Think back years ago you would hear of lorries or cars crashing at the bottom of hills because there brakes overheated and failed. When was the LAST time you heard about that on the news?
When you were taking Driving Lessons with your Driving Instructor, when did he explain about the Anti lock braking system your car had?
Things change so quickly in the world of car technology, and as a driving School, we have to keep up with it. That’s why we can offer you 1 or 2 hour refresher Driving Lessons throughout the UK.
We have Instructors in Workington, Billingham, Hartlepool, Cannock, Walsall, BIrmingham, Shrewsbury, Ilford and many other places.
Why not call FREE on 0800 1 777 149 and ask about our Advanced Driving REfresher Lessons?
From september 10th everyone that goes for there driving Test will be assessed with regards to eco driving.
This is a more advanced way of doing not just Driving Lessons but a skill for driving for life. Eco Driving hlelps you save fuel so its a more economical way of driving and so is more ecologically friendly.
What does it involve? Most Driving Schools and Driving Instructors have been teaching this way of driving for many years and it has been the cause of many arguments with parents, who always say “well I was never taught that”. Driving Instructor Training has been using these techniques for a while, such as just using your brakes to slow down, rather than going down through the gears at the same time.
Block Changing - Driving Schools teach when accelerating on a suitable road to change from 3rd to 5th gear, saving time and fuel by eliminating 4th gear.
When changing down going from 4th to second or 3rd to first gear, rather than the old fashioned way of 5,4,3,2,1.
And whether you take the test in Kingstanding, Workington, Hartlepool, Luton or Dagenham the principles remain the same.
If you want a Driving School with Driving Instructors who teach the latest eco friendly styles of driving then why not call us today on 0800 1 777 149 or e-mail info@drivertraining.me.uk

The benefits of passing your test and being able to drive are obvious to most; number one on this list being more freedom. But not only does it give you freedom it also gives you more opportunity to find better employment.
It doesn
One of the biggest faults when you are on a driving lessons is that people don’t check their blindspot and mirrors as often as they should. In fact on the DSA web site there is a top 10 list of the reasons people fail, and they all come down to observations.
This isn’t just true on driving lessons, for those who are having Driving Instructor Training, this is also a very common fault. We do Driving Instructor Training in places such as Cannock, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Bolton, Manchester and Romford and no matter where you go, the faults remain the same.
If it were just pupils you could argue its the result of cheap driving lessons or the Intensive Driving Courses but these are people that have been driving for many years and are now becoming a driving instructor!
The top of all fault lists is observations at junctions. I’m sure every driving school from Birmingham, to London, to Hartlepool is forever telling people to look right, left, right BEFORE pulling out. Unfortunately not many people seem to remember to do this.
As a Driving Instructor, you get asked many strange and peplexing questions as you are driving around with your pupils.
As we were sitting in the car one day a pupil called becky went to say something about what her aunt was doing, then stopped looked at me and went quiet. When i asked what was up she said “I can’t tell you, because you are a Driving Instructors and that means you’re like a policeman!” I never did find out what her aunt was up to!!
The biggest cause of questions as Driving Instructors is when you are on a driving lesson and the pupil is coming upto there test. We have been asked
Should I wear a miniskirt?
I told him NO…..Only joking I said to her, the Driving Examiner is more likely to want you back in the car again, so more likely to fail you, if you do that.
As a company we have Driving Instructors doing driving tests all over the uk, such as Shrewsbury, Hartlepool, Workington, Ilford and Birmingham, which is a lot of strange questions being asked. All met with the same bemused driving instructors smile!
The rules of the test are simple drive as you would with your driving instructor and make sure you check the mirrors and blindspots. Remember whether you take driving lessons in Aldridge, Cannock, Sutton Coldfield or Romford, nobody fails the driving test on there driving. Everybody fails it on there observations.
